Sortera is taking an important step to increase the opportunities for circular management of excavated soil and materials in the Gothenburg region. Through the acquisition of Schakt i Väst, Sortera gains access to a strategically located facility in Säve, with a permit to receive and recycle up to 600,000 tonnes of excavated soil and material per year. As part of the investment, Sortera will establish a soil washing facility at the site. The investment is being made to increase the recycling rate and circularity of excavated masses, reinforcing Sortera's commitment to circularity and supporting the broader transition toward a more sustainable industry.
